This course is the first part of Russian at CEFR Level A1 as specified in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It is designed to develop students’ basic skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in Russian. The course focuses on everyday communication through the use of essential vocabulary and fundamental grammatical structures. Students are introduced to simple reading texts and basic dialogues in Russian, enabling them to understand and use common expressions related to familiar daily topics such as introducing themselves and others, asking and answering questions about personal information, describing their families, and talking about daily routines. In addition, the course aims to encourage students to produce short written texts by forming grammatically correct sentences and organizing simple ideas in a clear and coherent manner. By the end of the course, students are expected to communicate at a basic level in familiar situations using simple and accurate language.
