This course is a
second semester English language course. The course is designed for students in
their respected departments for completing the second half of the A2 level as
specified in the CEFR.
The course
continues to focus on everyday communication through the use of basic
vocabulary and grammar patterns such as past tense and future tense. It covers
topics such as public transportation, accommodation, countries and cities,
money, payment and TV news. Students are offered authentic reading texts such
as brochures, menus, advertisements and signs to improve their reading skills
and vocabulary knowledge.
In addition, it
is aimed to encourage students to write personal messages and take notes by
producing correct sentences in terms of grammar.
